- The Contemporary Arts Museum Houston presents Perspectives 176: Glen Fogel: With Me You. On View: October 15 December 31, 2011. Opening Reception: Friday, October 14, 6:30-9PM. Artists/Scholars Talk: Glen Fogel and Lia Gangitano: Saturday, October 15, 2PM. Glen Fogels With MeYou is a new five-channel video installation, shown in conjunction with a series of large-scale paintings of intimate letters written to the artist. Using the photography and display style of Home Shopping Network as a starting point, Fogel embarked on a project to videotape wedding and engagement rings in his familys possession. Going back to his great grandmother's engagement ring, to the rings of his mother and sister, the installation spans four generations. Pictured: Glen Fogel, production still, 2010.
