Stages Repertory Theatre presents the Regional Premiere of Mistakes Were Made, the riotous one-man comedy by Craig Wright. Running January 25--February 19 (Previews January 25 & 26; Press Opening Friday, January 27 at 8pm). Meet Felix Artifex--a high-strung, neurotic theatre producer who has one too many problems on his plate. Juggling a very demanding A-list movie star, Broadways break-out playwright, and a tricky situation with a truckload of sheep, Felix must orchestrate a way to get a new ground-breaking play produced.
With the support of his complacent secretary and an overly-fed koi fish, Felix attempts to salvage his career while his personal life plummets.
Craig Wright beautifully weaves an intricate web between the complicated worlds of public relations, art, and foreign policy in this hilarious new play. Originally produced at the Red Orchid Theatre in Chicago, the play starred Michael Shannon as Felix Artifex and was directed by Dexter Bullard. In Houston, David Matranga, who has been seen at Stages in Yankee Tavern, Auntie Mame, Complete History of America Abridged, Man From Nebraska (Harry Brown) and Grey Gardens (Joe Kennedy Jr./Jerry), and Lobster Alice (John Finch), stars.
