August 14, 2011Recognizing the importance of keeping history from repeating itself, The Holocaust Museum Houstons newest exhibition, The Impact of Racist Ideologies: Jim Crow and the Nuremberg Laws, examines the segregationist past of the U.S. and Germany. While Nazi Germany had the Nuremberg Laws to deny Jews political, economic and social rights, Americas Jim Crow laws limited the rights of African Americans. By viewing the images and listening to first-person accounts, viewers will be able to see how the struggle of Jews and African Americans mirrored each other. more
